Environmental Club Meeting

Environmental Club Meeting

In order to increase environmental awareness among small entrepreneurs, a separate Environmental Club has been established in each project area. The club consists of a chairman, vice-chairman, and four committee members. Each entrepreneur actively participates in these monthly meetings. The main objective of the committee is to enhance environmental awareness among the entrepreneurs. Discussions are held on how to preserve the environment and create a sustainable environment through appropriate utilization. Additionally, topics such as business expansion and improving the work environment are also discussed. The detrimental effects of carbon-based paper usage, the use of plastic in food packaging, and their impact on health and the environment are also addressed. Meetings are organized and managed by the project staff through invitations from the chairman, vice-chairman, and committee members. During these meetings, all business-related issues and challenges faced by the entrepreneurs are raised and solutions are sought collectively. The Environmental Club is considered an important component of the project. This is a sub-project of the Sustainable Enterprise Project (SEP) called "Promotion of Safe Street Food Management Practices." It is being implemented with the comprehensive support of the Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) and funded by the World Bank to promote Padakhep Manabik Unnyan Kendra.
