Experience sharing workshops provide an opportunity for participants to learn from the experiences of others. When individuals share their experiences, they can offer valuable insights, lessons learned, and practical tips that can benefit others in similar situations. This knowledge sharing can help participants avoid mistakes, discover new approaches, and gain a deeper understanding of the topic at hand.
Padakhep Manabik Unnayan Kendra organized two batch experience sharing workshop at Dhaka under Promotion of Safe Street Food Management Practice project with the help of Palli Karma-Shohayak Foundation (PKSF) and the World Bank.
30 Micro-entrepreneurs from Rangpur were invited to Dhaka for experience sharing, who had never been to Dhaka before or had no idea about modern food courts. In Dhaka, they visited Bashundhara Shopping Complex Food Court and other model Micro- entrepreneurs' street food & Restaurant. During the visit, they emphasized on model entrepreneurs' hotel, kitchen, hygiene system, environmental practices, food serving system, packaging, behavior towards customers etc.
Through these visits, ME’s build good relationships among themselves. They share their current situation of their business, techniques, and ideas with each other and discuss new business opportunities, which will help them grow their future business and ensure safe food. ME’s also identify the areas for business growth, develop new skills, and broaden their horizons.
A Feedback sharing meeting was organized with the entrepreneurs after the two-day visit. Where entrepreneurs share their insights. One of the entrepreneurs said that I have been running street food business for 15 years, but I had no idea that this business can be done so well. I will definitely go back to Rangpur and use these ideas in my business and gave thanks to Padakhep for giving me the opportunity to participate in the experience sharing.
